Grapheur sample visualization: Navigation

The Navigation Plot can be used to perform a clustering analysis of the data. We can select the number of clusters we want to group the data into.
In the present example, the technique allows to group the different tablet models by similarities and therefore it allows an immediate interpretation of the market positioning strategy behind every tablet model. For example, we can visually identify the three different clusters related to the family of Apple, Dell and Hp products.
Similarly, we can also clearly identify the products that are in actual competition with each other. For example, in the present case, we can clearly see that Samsung Galaxy is a direct competitor of the Apple iPad, whereas all the Dell and HP products are not, as they belong to two different clusters that are positioned far away from the Samsung and Apple products. Indeed, they are all characterized by very different shape factors, features and accessories.
